In an effort to keep focused on hobby things while I get consumed with work, I have decided to record some ideas I have floating around in my head. What I really hope is to maintain some dialogue with you guys and make this blog something you can look forward to checking out every day.
So...here is the first idea I have come up with:
Amphibious Landing Force - Thanks to Col. Corbane for the inspiration.
The hobby potential here is off the charts; water-born versions of any and all IG vehicles...including a Gorgon...

I can see little floating sentinels similar to the PBR from Apocalypse Now...
Don't forget that Chimeras can float...
I am partial to the LVT from the Pacific theatre of WW2...
Don't forget troops...
So here's your chance. What are some of your ideas? Leave some comments and tell me what cool ideas are floating around out there.

Jetski Rough Riders!
Sly Marbo popping up undetected using his underwater scooter?
Hydrofoils instead of Land Speeders.
Sounds like fun. About the only bad thing I can see with this idea is the lack of terrain.
I actually drove one of those when I was in the USMC... I'm all for the Amtracks going off the back of an LSD
You need to read the 'Flesh and Iron' 40k novel. Its centered on amphibious IG.
@Kevin: Those are awesome ideas. Jet ski rough riders?! Sick...As far as terrain goes maybe one could construct a segment or two of beachfront as terrain pieces and place them on the edge of the board..??
@clt40k: The Amtracks are totally 40k...bulky and dangerous to anyone who rides in it.
@Cheef: That's actually my next book to start. I just saw it the other day at the local GW.
how about deep sea divers...could be like ogryns or something.
you could also have divers with motorized seadoo/seascooters
and how about minisubs like the ones they used in WWII?
